The group get to be all guard-y

 Hi there second game of the year.  The story continues with the group becoming guards  for a week. Lets see what they do.....

Happy New Year, read for another cycle round the star?

 Another years turns. Toward the end of the last many things were happening and evolving.  One of those was myself learning to use some new cartography software my husband gave me for my birthday, another was the apparent irregularity when all the group could meet and play. We did some one off games in Traveller and struggled on with the main story.  By the very end of the year I decided to go with a change in setting. So as not to totally bewilder the group I have kept the names they are aware of and their mission the same.  I wasn't sure until I started to read an old novel , Bloodstone by Karl Edward Wagner did I find the direction the rest of the game would take.  If you haven't read any of his work I heartily recommend it.  While I will not take any specifics from the book I am going to slowly evolve the gaming world into something that appropriates the books setting. 

We find the group , having entered Ravensbluff, searching for information on 'The Light of Sofia' or its other name 'The Malefica', a spell book of evil repute.  The group consists of Elwin, a young male Elf Ranger, Kera, a female Elfven Monk, Karas, a Half-elf Druid and Iara a female Elf Illusionist. We are using the Castles and Crusades system to play. As always roll them dice and Game on!
